TRIP 2024

We traveled for 21 days along the Indus River, visiting its monasteries. We then crossed the Kardung la High Pass at 5,360 m to reach the idyllic Nubra Valley, where we hiked through the sand dunes to reach the great statue of Maitreya Buddha at Diskit Monastery. We continued the journey crossing the Warila High Pass to reach one of Guru Rinpoche's caves. From there, we went to Pangong Lake, which is shared with Tibet, and to Tso Moriri Lake, whose waters are sacred. This was the first trek of the Himalaya Path, and it was beautiful.

CHRISTIAN HENRY

"It's a pilgrimage, a journey to walk towards the sacred, the sacredness of the Himalayas, to connect with that immensity, with those incredible and unique landscapes. Taking one step at a time, first one, then another, and another, and in taking those steps, temples, monasteries, monks, simple and wise people appear. Shadows and demons also appear, so that I may see them and recognize them, so that I may release them or integrate them, so that I may recognize myself and become conscious. And in this walk with this awe, I discover that love appears, devotion appears. Devotion to the being, to that being that appears only in expanded states of contemplation. Contemplating the divine outside in the immensity of the most imposing mountains on earth and in the deepest recesses of my soul. There, in that temple, the most remote one, after days and days of exploring, honoring, and giving thanks, there finally appears the most powerful light, the most authentic light, there it appears the Renaissance.

A pilgrimage journey to find the sacred within me, a great journey of transformation.

I am eternally grateful to Himalaya Path for being a perfect enabler for this magic to emerge.
